Art Deco Trust

The Napier Art Deco Trust has helped protect, preserve and promote some of New Zealand’s best examples of Art Deco heritage. The trust operates a number of tours popular with visitors to the region. Each year over 20,000 people take an Art Deco Walk. Two art deco festivals are held each year – one in February, the other in July.

Guided Walks

1-1.5 hours

Guided Walks – This captivating walk takes you into the heart of Napier’s Art Deco Quarter, and describes the 1931 earthquake which has shaped the region into what it is today. Morning, Afternoon and evening walks are available.

Self-guided walks are also available using the Trust’s self-guided walking brochure.

Vintage Car Tour

1-1.5 Hours

Vintage Car Tours – A must do for all vintage car petrolheads, tour Napier in a luxurious 1930’s vintage car. You will visit the Napier Municipal Theatre, and the National Tobacco Company building, one of the most photographed Art Deco buildings in New Zealand.
