Whether you plan to drive, take a taxi or rideshare, or take a bus, we’ve got the information to help you find your way. As we’re located Queen Street, occasionally there are events held in the area that may cause roads around the hotel to be temporarily closed. Before planning your journey please check our Upcoming Road Closure section for the latest information.

Valet Parking

Valet Parking is available at a charge of $45 per night (including GST). This service is available from 7am until 10pm and can be affected from time to time by public holidays, large parades and sporting events that require Queen Street to be closed (see below)*. To book valet parking please contact the hotel reception team.

Our heritage building does not have any self-parking on-site. If you would prefer to park your own vehicle there are self-parking buildings very close by. Our hotel team are happy to advise you of parking options at check-in.

Guests can park their car right in front of the hotel at 380 Queen Street for a few minutes and we can park their car for them or they can park on their own car after removing their luggage. This specific parking is for 5 minutes only. Guests can also park on Airedale Street (around 8 Airedale Street) for 5 minutes if the other space is full. View our valet parking map (PDF).

*Valet car parking service is unavailable on Good Friday and Christmas Day due to the closure of The Civic Car Park. Guests will need to self-park at one of the alternative car parks listed below.

Self-Parking – Nearby Parking Lots

We suggest the Civic Car Park as it is covered and secure. Located 300m from the hotel at 299 Queen Street, under Aotea Square. Entry from Greys Avenue or Mayoral Drive.

Wilsons Parking Grey’s Avenue carpark is located at 89 Greys Avenue, 500m from the hotel (open air car park).

Wilsons Parking – Queen Street, entrance to the parking building is on Waverley Street (note that this is a one-way street which is entered from White Street)

Bus, Taxi or Rideshare

From Auckland Airport there is the option of car hire, ridesharing, taxis, buses or shuttles.

Super Shuttles is an independent company that offers transfers to and from Auckland Airport, these can be booked at their website.

The orange AirportLink bus service carries passengers between Auckland Airport, Puhinui Station, and Manukau Bus Station.

The Sky Drive Bus carries passengers between the airport and platform 7 on Hobson Street. From Hobson Street it is a 750m, 10 minute walk to Airedale Boutique Suites. The bus runs every half an hour from 5am to 11:30pm.

Upcoming Road Closures & Disruption Events

Upcoming Revitalisation Works in and around Midtown Auckland:

Auckland City and Watercare have advised that there will be ongoing street and road works from September 2024 until July 2025, and this will affect parts of Queen Street near our hotel and Mayoral Drive at times. At times, guests may not be able to access the hotel loading zones and there may be a small amount of noise disruption from the street during the day.

Sunday 3 November 2024:

The annual Auckland Marathon will be held in November. The race starts in Devonport, crosses the Auckland Harbour bridge, through the city centre, out to Mission Bay (via Tamaki Drive) and back to the city centre to finish in Victoria Park. If you’re travelling to central Auckland on this date please check where roads and intersections may be closed.

24 November 2024: Farmers Santa Parade. Typically Queen Street are closed between 11am and 3pm and access to Civic Parking is unavailable. This post will be updated when exact details have been provided by Auckland City Council.

Diwali Festival: October 2025 dates to be confirmed

The annual Auckland Diwale Festival runs over a Saturday and Sunday and will result in closures to parts of Queen Street (from Wakefield Street to Mayoral Drive). The hotel loading zones will be temporarily be relocated during the festival period.
